Let’s discuss the features of this laptop in detail in the next section.

Enchanting Features of ASUS VivoBook 14 X415EA-EK322WS

ASUS launches diverse models with distinctive features and differing prices. It’s not incorrect to say that there’s an ASUS laptop for every segment and need. The recent launch of ASUS has spiced up the market and made people realize how advancing technology is impacting our daily life by making things easy for us.

Almost everyone has wanted to get their hands on this laptop since it hit the market. In case you are also planning to grab one for yourself, the below-listed features will provide you with some clarity about this laptop.

1. Performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This laptop is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor with Intel integrated graphics and has 8 GB RAM. In performance, VivoBook 14 offers a smooth experience while daily browsing and performing heavy tasks or office tasks, managing Excel sheets, and sending emails, for instance.

ASUS 14 X415EA

Undoubtedly, the Notebook 14 X415EA of ASUS has a powerful processor that makes every task look seamless. The device doesn’t lag anywhere, even in multiple tabs open or while dealing with stuff like editing. If you don’t have heavy gaming needs, this laptop can be a steal deal for you.

2. Display ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Similar to the VivoBook Go 15 series of ASUS, the VivoBook 14 series also has a full HD IPS display with a resolution of 2880 x 1080 pixels. Furthermore, it has a 16:9 screen ratio, 157 PPI pixel density, and 0.161 x 0.161 mm pitch to provide a premium quality screen experience. With excellent viewing angles, you can consider the VivoBook 14-inch display a retina screen when viewed from a 56 cm distance.

Additionally, it has 234 nits maximum measured brightness and a 12% maximum deviation of 12%. Overall the display is quite good, with a highly responsive keyboard. This laptop will definitely give HD visuals for entertainment and other daily activities.

3. Design ⭐⭐⭐

In terms of design, this time, I was really expecting something revolutionary from ASUS. Like many other ASUS notebooks, ASUS 14 X415EA is completely made of plastic. The VivoBook 14 weighs around 1.60 kg and has a 1.99 cm profile, so you can consider it a thin model. The structural integrity is average, and ASUS has not put any extra effort into making the VivoBook 14 body stand out from other models.

VivoBook 14 X415EA design

This laptop has some flexes, but the lid cannot be opened with a single hand. Even the keyboard is also average, with small keycaps. Moving to the touchpad, it’s pretty small and gives a delayed response, but honestly, it’s not that bad because ASUS has even worse trackpads, and the VivoBook 14 still has a better one.

4. Speakers ⭐⭐⭐

Talking about the speakers, VivoBook 14 has average speakers with under-par audio. I am really disappointed by the audio on this laptop. ASUS has already set a standard benchmark by providing high-quality speakers in its ZenBook series. I know the difference between Zenbook and VivoBook 14 is huge, but still, ASUS could have provided a better speaker that has much more clarity, precision, and surround sound effects.

VivoBook 14 speakers

The VivoBook 14 of ASUS has decent speakers, which could have been improved by doing a little moderation. The low, mid, and high tones are clear of deviations and seem to work pretty well. The audio is too low, and the background music of the songs is either inaudible or partially audible.

But I guess these speakers seem to work well for this price range. For better sound quality and audio, I’ll suggest you invest in some good headphones. The overall functioning of this laptop is quite good if you are willing to compromise on the quality of the speakers.

5. Battery ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This notebook has a 37WHrs, 2S 1P, 2-cell Li-Ion battery that can keep you going for up to 6 hours without any plug-in for a charge. This laptop takes a little more than an hour to charge fully. The battery is quite good and won’t get overheated or swell if you take proper care of the laptop.

VivoBook 14

The VivoBook 14 series of ASUS have an impressive battery backup. This laptop has a 37Wh battery that delivers 6 hours and 7 minutes of web browsing and 4 hours and 42 minutes of video playback on one charge. The battery of this laptop is quite good, and you won’t face the problem of battery swelling and overheating.

Even the fan of the ASUS 14 is quiet and doesn’t bother me much while working. Occasionally, you may hear the noise of a fan, but that’s because something is trapped between the fan and the wall. Fast performance, an HD display, advanced cooling technology, and a strong battery backup make this laptop a good value for money.

Our Verdict

My experience with the 14 X415EA notebook was okay. There are some areas, like speakers and design, in which ASUS has seriously disappointed me. But honestly, what else do you expect for a price of ₹34,990? Performance-wise, this laptop is hit if you ignore its tacky keyboard, trackpad, and missing SD card reader.

Even the cooling system serves its job very well by preventing overheating even after long hours of continuous working. With fast performance, a good battery, and an impressive processor, the 14 X415EA notebook of ASUS is a steal for me. You can consider buying this laptop if you are okay with compromising speakers and age-old design. And if you are ready to stretch your budget, you can try other laptops from ASUS, like ASUS VivoBook 13 Slate

I hope this ASUS VivoBook 14 X415EA-EK322WS review gave you some valuable insights about the functioning and performance of this laptop. To wrap up this long discourse, I’ll say that this laptop is not fit for gaming and heavy tasks like editing, but if you need a laptop for daily browsing, office work, and entertainment, you can consider buying it.
