ASUS gives you 16 GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 5 7520U 7th Gen processor and AMD Radeon graphics processor for just ₹47,990. This VivoBook 15 has all the essential tools required for getting things done in an easier way. Its 1800 lay-flat hinge and physical webcam shield gives it an appealing look. To make it safe for users ASUS has also added the ASUS Antimicrobial Guard Plus safety shield. I’ll comprehensively discuss the distinguishing features of the ASUS VivoBook Go 15 in the next section.
Enchanting Features of ASUS VivoBook Go 15
The ASUS VivoBook Go 15 has multiple features but here I’ll talk about only the major ones. This notebook inhibits 99% of viruses and bacteria with ASUS antimicrobial guard. Furthermore, it has a one-touch login, ASUS webcam shield, 1800 hinge, and ASUS AI noise cancellation for enhancing the user experience. Below I have elaborated on the distinctive features of the ASUS VivoBook Go 15 which establishes its supremacy over other laptops of a similar price range.
1. Design ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The ASUS VivoBook has a sleek touch and it meets the MLD-STD-810H military-grade standard for toughness. In my experience, I felt that this laptop has a firm body but one cannot classify it as tough. This laptop has a 17.99 mm thin body and weighs only 1.63 kg. However, the lid is quite heavy and one cannot open it with one hand.
This laptop has a classy look with a little logo thing going on the chassis. On base, it has an elevated palm resting area, a keyboard, and a trackpad. The key track is comfortable and facilitates typing, additionally, it also has a full-size number pad section.
2. Performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This laptop doesn’t compromise the operational speed and performance. Undoubtedly this is one of the most affordable and advanced laptops out there in the market. With 16 GB RAM, a powerful AMD Ryzen 5 7520U 7th Gen processor, AMD Radeon graphics processor, and a sleek design ASUS has incorporated all the important elements required for the swift working of a laptop.
ASUS VivoBook Go 15 operates smoothly with a quick response rate.
This notebook is not one of the best options for heavy tasks like editing or graphics designing. Besides, it is okay for casual gaming and doesn’t support heavy games like GTA. VivoBook Go 15 is ideal for students and office-going people who need a laptop for accomplishing some presentations, MS Excel, or word-related tasks, and entertainment.
3. Processor and Battery Life ⭐⭐⭐
VivoBook Go 15 has a robust processor that has no issues in sustaining high clock speeds. The performance of this notebook doesn’t deteriorates even after long periods of use. Even the cooling system of this laptop is mind-blowing. While typing for long hours the right side of the keyboard may get a little warm but there’s nothing to worry about it. The processor works smoothly even under extreme workloads.
ASUS has quite disappointed me in battery life and quality. Honestly, I was expecting a long battery backup but that’s not the case. This laptop has a 42 Wh battery pack that lasts around 7 to 8 hours depending on the task you are performing. However, the battery backup is a bit under-par but what else do you expect from the given price segment?
4. Speakers ⭐⭐⭐
The ASUS VivoBook Go 15 is a pretty built device that had all the functionalities to smoothly operate a browser-based workload. ASUS has compiled the best CPU, GPU, and RAM in this laptop but it could have been more innovative with speakers. Speakers of VivoBook Go 15 is something that I am not a fan of. This laptop has average speakers by SonicMaster.
The speakers work mediocre and have low audio. Due to the low audio volume it’s almost impossible to make video conferences using this laptop. Well, this laptop can be a good option for you if you don’t mind investing in a good pair of headphones. However, if you are planning some Netflix and chill thing using laptop, this might not be the ideal laptop for you.
5. Web Camera ⭐⭐⭐
ASUS VivoBook Go 15 comes with an average web camera with a privacy shutter. Hard to see but VivoBook Go 15 has a web camera in the top bezel. The 720p web camera is honestly of no use. With low audio speakers and a 720p web camera it’s almost impossible to make quality video calls or business conferences using this laptop.
I usually switch to my Acer Nitro 5 ANS15-58 or Apple 2023 MacBook Air for office conferences and video calls. I tried this laptop against dark backgrounds and it turned out to be really bad. It’s almost impossible to make video calls on ASUS Go 15 against dark backgrounds because the camera was not even able to track my movements.
Our Verdict – Is It Worth The Price?
The VivoBook Go 15 is one of the best laptops with OLED display, 16 GB RAM, and a powerful processor. Is there any other laptop with similar features for the given price segment? It’s almost impossible to find a laptop for as low as ₹47,990 with similar features.
ASUS has successfully accomplished its mission of providing premium features under budget. My experience using this laptop was quite good. I used this laptop for my office work and online classes and till now this laptop has not betrayed me. It works smoothly even while performing heavy tasks, but I won’t recommend using this laptop for editing and gaming as it deteoriates its speed.
Undoubtedly this laptop has some falters like low battery backup, poor web camera, and speakers but it’s the perfect notebook for students and for performing everyday tasks. You can get this laptop for yourself if you have easy access to a charging board and don’t mind comprising the video and audio quality of your video calls and conferences.
Well, this was all about VivoBook Go 15. Hopefully this ASUS VivoBook Go 15 review helped you decide the perfect notebook for you. Moving to the end, let’s see some of the frequently asked questions about this affordable ASUS VivoBook.
